Recruiters: Now’s a great time to hire

Will your company do any hiring in the next few months? If it’s possible, you might want to find a way to fit it into your budget now.
Most experts agree: Times like these provide a great opportunity to hire top talent — as long as companies can afford to add staff.
More than 75% of in-house recruiters say the recession gives them a chance to increase the caliber of their employees, according to a recent survey by JobFox, an online job board.
However, more than half also say they’ll be hiring fewer people in the beginning of 2009 than they did a year ago.
That means good news for the rest: Now’s their chance to get a leg up on the competition. Experts say the companies hiring quality workers now will be the ones on top when the economy recovers.

Of course, it’s a good time to hire, since there are so many qualified peoplewith out jobs. We have laid off 6 of 18 employees in the last 9 months. We would love to hire back the ones we laid off.
